Tell us a little about your business. What do you offer, and what makes it unique?

We are a local Farmers Insurance Agency that has been in Business for 23 years, we offer all types of insurance including life, business, recreational. We also offer Medicare, Pet Insurance, home warranty, and have recently added a new Device protection plan. We focus on customer service, listening to our customers, provide products that meet their needs. 

How did your journey as a business owner begin? What inspired you to get started?

23 Years ago I was laid off my job in the manufacturing industry, I have always wanted to own my business and look at several options. I decided on Insurance because it was away to build residual income, take care of my customers in their time of need, and have the ability to give back to the community

How long have you been in business, and why did you choose Hutto as your home base?

Been in business for 23 years, Hutto was the community I lived in and wanted to be a part of, back then I saw that Hutto was on the edge of growth and opportunity

What’s been one of your most memorable moments as a business owner?

When we are able to help our customers rebuild after damage to their home or business, and get their lives back together.

What do you think makes the Hutto community special?

Deep down Hutto is a community that supports each other, supports local business and is a friendly community.

What advice would you give to someone just starting a business here?

Research your market, Develop a 5 Year business plan, have a mentor or coach.  Build relationships and know that there will be ups and downs. But keep going and pushing through the tough days and times.

When you're not working, where can we find you around town? (Favorite coffee, food, or hangout spots?)

I enjoy spending time with my family, supporting other local businesses, and involved with at our church Crosswalk Church

Anything exciting coming up you'd like the community to know about?

We are continuing to grow and offer our customers more products besides Farmers home and auto, we now offer Insurance from other carriers.  Just this month Farmers now offers a device protection plan for your electronic devices.  We can also help you with Medicare insurance.
